Rupayan Basu did his schooling in Calcutta, and coming to Bangalore was something of a turning point for him. He is currently pursuing a BE degree in Computer Science but has managed to catch up with some writing instead. He is fond of playing the piano, watching movies and nurturing a phobia of blood.
Jahnavi Baruua trained as a medical doctor but is now a writer, reader and mother of a seven year old, not necessarily in that order. She writes mainly short fiction, a genre she finds challenging and immensely satisfying. In 2006 Jahnavi was awarded a Charles Wallace Trust fellowship by the British Council to study Creative Writing in the UK. Next Door, a collection of short stories by her is being published by Penguin India and will be released in early November 2008.
